Yanni Is Coming To Town!

On April 9, 2011 Yanni will be accompanied by his orchestra at Radio City Music Hall and possibly a city near you! Check out his website at www.yanni.com. I submitted an application to join his street team and share more info with you. Here's an excerpt:

Dear Yanni Street Team,

I first came to know and love Yanni and Orchestra while watching a special, Yanni Live at the Acropolis, on PBS when I lived in Boston back in 1998. I've never forgotten that experience. I've been a fan every since. Now Yanni is coming to New York City, my place of birth and residence.

I want you to know, I've never purchased a ticket for an event so far in advance for any reason in my life. Yanni and Orchestra are blessed with such talented gifts from above. In all of the world they are on my list of the most amazing, inspirational, lovely, eccentric, group of musicians.

I am the writer of ThresholdWorld. It is a blog to inform and inspire individuals of the world into positive action. Every experience in life has a cause and effect. It is up to the individual to use the result for the positive. The reason I'd like to be a street team member is to share the inspiring experience I once had watching PBS, for more people of the world to be inspired to create a ripple effect in their environment. I even plan to give a ticket away for someone to experience!

The Tea at MEC!

Sunday, August 28th was the Medgar Evers College (MEC) Pre-Inaugural High Tea Fundraiser in honor of the Sixth President, Dr. Patricia Ramsey. President Ramsey is the first female and scientist to serve at the college. She also has cool ties to the schools namesake in her family tree. Her very own cousin Curtis Harris, served to make sure Medgar Evers legacy was protected back in Mississippi years ago. Honeydew Holistics!

Hello World, I recently had the pleasure of introducing Alicia Hudson, owner of Honeydew Holistics , for a women's history month event at Borough of Manhattan Community College . Ms. Hudson gave a very informative presentation on womb wellness, to a diverse audience that continued to want more! I followed up by booking a Yoni Steaming, the main service provided at her new shop located in DUMBO (Down Under The Manhattan Bridge Overpass) at 53 Bridge St. in Brooklyn, NY. - A little bit of history : The neighborhoods of DUMBO and Vinegar Hill (named differently in the 1800's) housed a free black community. Brooklyn's anti-slavery movement began in 1810 and there were black-owned businesses in this very area. Womb Wellness, Education and Celebration!

Greetings, In May of 2003, I was 7 months pregnant and 10 days shy of my college graduation. I’d be the first in my family to complete a degree at the time. My mom attended college, yet as a wife and mother in the 1960's, she didn't receive the support needed to continue. Her act in going inspired me.
