Remember and Serve

September 11th is a national day of service. More information by the Corporation for National Service . My love and prayers go to all affected by this day. We honor the memory of family, friends and loved ones. We also remember that on this day there continues to be life. I join the Corporation for National Service in sharing a video campaign by 9/11day.org. featuring some of the 3,000 children who were born on September 11, 2001. 'They ask us to stop fostering hateful thoughts, and instead do at least one good deed on September 11 to honor the victims and responders on the 15th anniversary of the attack.' 9/11.org was founded by 'Two friends, David Paine and Jay Winuk, who lost his brother Glenn Winuk in the 9/11 attacks, have dedicated the better part of their lives over the past 14 years working to transform 9/11 from a day of evil into a day of good.' Below are some ideas to get you started in New York this weekend. Check with your local and city volunteer

I've also become a participant in Cycling the Globe for Suicide Prevention . It's an initiative by the International Association for Suicide Prevention to 'collectively cycle the circumference of the globe, 40,075 km or 24,900 miles, and to have participants cycling on every continent.
