Today at the Brooklyn Public Library's Central Branch NBC News Special Correspondent Chelsea Clinton read to attendees for Education Nation Week in New York City.
Amazing Grace by Mary Hoffman and The GingerBread Boy by Richard Egielski were two books read by Clinton. I attempted to let my nephew listen closer to the stories but he wanted his mommy. Oh well thank goodness local public school children were in attendance in addition to families.
Children and adults were excited to see and hear from the daughter of the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton. It was also awesome to meet the President of the library Linda E. Johnson.
It was great to be in attendance at this event in my neighborhood. I love my library! I just was looking through the am New York paper and found out about the event this morning. I quickly placed a reservation to attend with my sister and nephew. Getting news quickly can bring a day of surprises. Make sure to click on the links in this post.
